Programming and interfacing with Arduino provides an in-depth understanding of the Arduino UNO board. It covers programming concepts, sensor working and interfacing, input/output devices, communication modules, and actuators with Arduino UNO boards. This book contains a large number of programming examples, as well as a description and details of hardware interfacing with the Arduino UNO board.

It discusses important topics, including SPI communication protocol, I2C communication protocol, light-emitting diode, potentiometer, analog-to-digital converter, pulse width modulation, temperature sensor LM35, humidity and temperature sensor DHT11, motor driver L293D, LED interfacing and programming, and push-button interfacing and programming.

This text is intended for senior undergraduate students and professionals in electrical engineering, electronics, and communication engineering.

  • Discusses the construction and working of sensors, including ultrasonic sensors, temperature sensors, and optical sensors.
  • Covers the construction, working, programming, and interfacing of IO devices.
  • Discusses programming, interfacing construction, and working of relays with the Arduino board for controlling high-voltage devices.
  • Covers the interfacing diagram of devices with the Arduino board.
  • The platform offers videos that demonstrate the implementation of programs on the Arduino board.

About the Author

Dr. Yogesh Misra has a passion for teaching. He has 24 years of teaching and industrial experience. He is currently working as a professor in the Electronics and Communication Engineering Department of the GMR Institute of Technology (an autonomous NAAC ‘A' grade institution affiliated with JNTU Andhra Pradesh, India).

He worked as a professor at KL University, Andhra Pradesh (NAAC A++), and Mody University of Science and Technology, Rajasthan, for many years. He was a part of the BRCM College of Engineering & Technology, Haryana, from 2003 to 2009. For many years, he worked as an engineer (installation and commissioning) at Automatic Electronic Control System (a sugar mill automation company).

He has published more than 30 research papers and delivered many expert lectures in UGC and AICTE-sponsored programs. He has organized and conducted some workshops for students and faculty. He has authored two books, Digital System Design Using VHDL with Dhanpat Rai Publication Co. in 2006 and Application of Fuzzy Logic in Sugar Mill with Lambert Academic Publishing in 2017.

Dr. Misra stood out as one of the top performers in the “Microprocessors and Microcontrollers” course conducted by NPTEL and IIT Kharagpur.

He has made the following popular video lecture series:

(1) Video Lecture Series on “System Design Using Verilog,” available online with certification at https://www.udemy.com/course/system-design-using-verilog/
